This new solar roof boasts the world’s first nailable solar shingle, the Timberline Solar Energy Shingle™ (ES). The ES is assembled in the US, at GAF Energy’s stateside manufacturing plant.
Timberline Solar™ protects like a roof and has solar energy built right in, and has comparable warranty coverage to the leading roofing brand in North America, too.

Contact Us
To get started with your GAF Solar Energy Roof you just first need to contact us. You will speak with a sales representative to discuss your questions, comments, and concerns, and look at what makes sense for your home.
Design & Permitting
If our initial survey indicates that your property is a good candidate for solar energy, we proceed to take photos and measurements. Then we finalize the solar roof design. We also obtain local utility approval for install and any permits when required.
Installation
Once everything is approved, we will work with you to schedule an installation date and coordinate the delivery of materials to your home. We will tear off and replace your old roof with a new roof and solar. An electrician will finish the installation.
Inspection & Activation
Once your new solar roof is in place, we work with local authorities to see that the installation is reviewed and passes inspection.We submit a request to your local utility to approve activation of the system. You will receive notice when the system can be turned on. Once you receive the notice, we will email you specific instructions for how to turn on your system.
Warranties
GAF offers a robust warranty for both the solar components and the roofing system, providing peace of mind and protecting your investment. GAF Solar Shingles have a 25-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects that cause leaks.The GAF power production warranty offers 84.8% of initial output after 25 years of use, with 2% degradation during the first year of use and then only 0.55% degradation per year.
Tax Incentives
The Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit lets you deduct up to 30% of the solar power system installation costs on your federal taxes.
